Real Wood initiative and campaign
With the Real Wood initiative, the European Parquet Federation, FEP, wants to put real wood flooring back into the spotlights and give it the prominent place in the market it deserves.
Based on its latest consumers study’s key learnings, as well as the work done at EU level, the FEP Board and Team have decided to launch a communication campaign using and revamping the previous Real Wood initiative.
The main message to be conveyed by the new Real Wood campaign is the quantity of CO2 which is saved by installing parquet
The campaign consists of:
A movie in 6, 36 and 45 seconds versions for different Social Media
A calculator giving the number of tons of CO2 saved by installing different surfaces of parquet from 40 m2 to 1 billion m2. Quantities of CO2 saved are compared to other human activities: transport, heating, food, water use, etc.
A website where the (other) advantages of using parquet are briefly explained. This website will replace the existing Real Wood website, and is currently accessible in English, French, and German. Other linguistic versions will be prepared in co-operation with the FEP members.
Media Plans on specific markets will allow the movies to lead (Call To Action) the consumers to the calculator and webpages.
