woodPoP - Wood Policy Paper endorsed
On 6 November, during the woodPoP 3rd High Level Meeting held in Brussels, the Policy Paper 'A Wood-Based Circular Bioeconomy for a Sustainable Europe' has been endorsed.
The Policy Paper provides the most important information and content to serve as a reference point for the political work of woodPoP members in political committees and individual discussions with ministries, parliaments, and the public.
The document identifies critical fields of action and the necessary structural short to long-term framework conditions, as well as suitable instruments and resources, for strengthening the wood-based circular bioeconomy in Europe.
The document is also a strategic orientation for long-term collaboration on sourcing, circularity, manufacturing, construction, innovation, skills, communication, and governance.
What is woodPoP?
woodPoP is the European wood policy platform. It consists today of 27 countries, 45 organisations incl. FEP, and 250 experts.
Its aim is to advance the sustainable use of wood and wood-based products in the Pan-European region, with a focus on buildings.
Several Working Groups (WG) have been created and FEP has a seat in the Governance WG.
